Inna: “Dynamica” By Paromov

Limber Inna returns, this time showing off her taut little body amidst the ropes of a tumbler’s gym.

Tiny Inna, an understandable Met Art favorite, has been captured here in an activity she was born to. Her petite body could not be better suited to the bars and rings of a gymnast’s training room. Paromov has shot her here in "Dynamica" - and indeed, the title describes what’s within. Inna is a little firecracker, her lithe body wrapping itself weightlessly around the heavy ropes and red rings of the gym set. Inna seems small enough to defy gravity entirely. She was obviously born to the sport.

It’s hard to emphasize enough what a treat this gallery is. Inna, never shy, starts out naked. Her lovely young body is entirely unencumbered, her long legs and slender arms free to stretch and spread and reach. Her tiny waist is unbound, her torso free to tighten and flex. The narrowness of her petite frame is enough to make anyone’s heart pound, and her delicacy is only make more striking by the weight and heft of the ropes with which she so gracefully and playfully suspends herself.

Fortunately, Paromov has taken the time to reintroduce the lovely model. The series starts with a collection of poignant images - near portraits of Inna - consisting of her posed with the tools of her trade. She loops the ropes around her shoulders, stringing it between her legs . . . the contrast of the rough braid against her soft skin and glossy hair is a brilliant photographic example. But Inna will not stay still for long.

Her enthusiasm and energy is remarkable. She wastes no time in scrambling high up the braided cords, swinging gleefully from two red rings, her legs akimbo, her body bared. Her lean little body is shot from all angles, in all positions: she hangs from her knees from the steel bars above; she scampers nimbly up and down a similar ladder; she swings back and forth among the ropes. Inna, while tiny, is obviously strong. The ropes of her slender muscles are visible in her stomach, her thighs and biceps as taut as her flat abdomen. The thin ribcage she displays only adds to the paradox of her vulnerable beauty. The appeal of this little model is undeniable.
