Danielle’s the perfect doll. This shoot brings to mind the most avante mod fashions - and especially the models that defined them.
Voronin’s "Modelable" features the eminently doll-perfect Danielle. This shoot alludes to rarer time frame: while Met Art readers are familiar with everything from coolly modern galleries to gauzy and romantic historical scenes, Voronin’s latest installment hints at something different. The skilled photographer has given a nod to the mod girls of the 40s. A touch of Twiggy, a lens full of long legs and brilliant colors and a sultry, kohl-eyed innocence . . . a backdrop composed of primary hues and blocky shapes . . . a girl with ironed blonde hair and striped thigh-highs . . . it’s all here. The results are fantastic.
The model is Danielle. This youthful, long-limbed doll of a blonde is the perfect choice for the series. Her soft ivory skin is perfectly pale, as is the golden silk of her hair. Her dark cat eyes are accentuated by even darker rims, and the soft curve of her glossed lips betray only the slightest smile. Danielle’s angular cheekbones, pert nose and petite chin finish a face that would be at home on the cover of the high-fashion magazines of the times.
She begins clad in the platform heels so popular in the 60s. She begins clad in the tiniest of jackets and briefest of bikini bottoms. She begins clad in thickly striped thigh-highs. The effect is striking. She looks like a living doll, and the poses she adopts only add to the illusion. Her flexibility and willingness is marvelous: she leans and preens and arches and bends. Again, the title of the series is apt.
When she removes her panties, the first impulse is to distrust her existence even further. Where did she acquire such an impossible pert bottom? The round peaches she presents to the camera are unreal. As she continues to slowly disrobe, though, and as the series continues documenting her limber performance, it becomes clear than Danielle is all girl.
She slowly removes the little outfit. While the air of the shoot remains the same - she’s still posed in the mod hallway Voronin has so aptly chosen - her pert breasts and trim waist transcend the time period. Danielle’s figure is sheer perfection. Even though the modish fashions admired the slim lines and coltish legs she so beautiful demonstrates, Voronin’s model surpasses even the most stringent standards. When the series ends, with Danielle entirely nude, her breathtaking breasts and firm belly bared for the camera, you’ll care not at all what decade you’re in.
